Fluval G3 Fine Pre-Filter Cartridge is designed for daily use in marine aquariums where suspended debris is minimal. It can also be used as a polishing cartridge for standard or fresh water aquariums. The fine mesh traps debris 75ì (micron) or larger for unparalleled mechanical filtering results. Thanks to its no by-pass design, debris remains caught between each pleat until it is removed and rinsed. However, solid wastes can break down into soluble wastes and regular cartridge rinsing is recommended. Fluval G's pre-filtration process means that less solid waste is solubilised in the aquarium water, which results in less waste accumulation and improved chemical and biological filtration efficiency
