Hydra Filtron's 4 stage water purification goes beyond the conventional 3 stage filtration (Mechanical, Biological, Chemical), with the incorporation of the revolutionary Hydro-Pure technology.

The Hydro-Pure technology uses Hydroxyl Radicals (-OH) to accelerate an aquariums startup (cycling) time from the usual 4-5 weeks with within 1 week, reduce water odour, and continue to retain a crystal clear tank.

The 3 Phases of Hydro-Pure Technology

• Phase 1. Aquarium water containing Protein, Ammonia (NH3) and Nitrite (NO2-).
• Phase 2. Cata-pure Media reaction produces reactive Hydroxyl Radicals (•OH) from water. Hydroxyl Radicals (•OH) reduces Protein, toxic by-products like Ammonia (NH3), Nitrite (NO2-), and odour from Sulphur-based by-products.
• Phase 3. Biologically clean and healthy water for fish and invertebrates.

3DM Biological Medium

Hydra Filtron uses 3DM, a pH neutral revolutionary mineral based beneficial bacteria medium that incorporates most advanced manufacturing techniques and technology to create this macro-porous medium that contains up to 10x more surface area than conventional filter medium.
